My Goals For TSA!

Goal #1
As a competitive member of TSA who is actively involved and a part of a leadership team at Lynnwood High School, I’ve had the opportunity to come up with ideas for TSA, especially through the Mentoring Program. My goal is to increase membership by advocating for this organization and showing that it's not just a technology club to look good on college applications or resumes, but a place to meet new people, explore new things, and learn new skills. I would also like to make it easier for new members of TSA with more guidance and support. When I was first a member, I struggled with reading my event guides which caused me to get disqualified from my event. Therefore to help new members thrive in their first year is to offer more guidance through the Washington TSA website.

Goal #2
A second goal I have for TSA is to increase fundraising for schools with TSA chapters. This can look like us officers helping schools to fund money into their chapter for State or National competitions. I believe there are many talented people in TSA that are unable to attend state due to funding issues. I want to help make a difference in schools and make sure that the people that should be at state are able to be here and show their skills with options as wide and diverse from fashion design to coding. I want to establish that people that want to be at state are able to make it here with every possible effort going into that.

Goal #3
My third goal is to establish connections with tech companies or local businesses to provide students with internship opportunities, mentorships, and insights into the tech industry. TSA can aim to create a network that helps students transition from academia to the professional world. This can be relating to an event or in general. A good example of this would be an event like flight, those of age and in TSA can earn the opportunity to have a mentor at boeing or a place of flight to set them for a good career in their future. I want to help that students receive what they deserve from this club and help set them up for success towards their futures.
